Telenor is one of the most used Mobile SIM in India and many of the users are currently using the active numbers and enjoying the extensive deals and benefits provided by the company. However, as per the Government of India, directives, the services can be interrupted in case the active numbers are not linked to the Aadhaar Card of the member.
The Department of Telecommunication has set the deadline as 6th Feb 2018 and by that time the process has to be completed to avoid suspension of the service.
What you have to do?
Before the process of the linking starts, you need to ensure that you have your Aadhaar Card. This is important and in case you don’t have your Aadhaar Card, you must apply for the same using online and offline process. You must also ensure that your registered number in the Aadhaar is active so that you can receive the OTP from the department.
You need to visit the nearest Telenor Store and ask for the linking of the Aadhaar Card and the Mobile SIM.
You need to provide the Aadhaar Details to the executive, who will, in turn, enter the data in the bio metric system for the verification process.
You will receive an OTP from the Aadhaar Department on your registered number and that should be shared with the executive.
You have to verify your fingerprint through the fingerprint scanner.
You will receive the confirmation of the fingerprint verification on your registered mobile number.
You now need to provide the details of the active Telenor Mobile SIM and the personal details. This will also be entered into the system.
You will now receive an SMS from the Aadhaar Department to the Telenor Number and you need to reply to that SMS by typing “YES”.
Your number is now get Aadhaar Card link and you can enjoy an uninterrupted service.
